The Big Chop!
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ZuriWorks is raising awareness with the Big Chop to Stop Cancer, a natural hair and art event at 1776dc.
This event benefits ZuriWorks' Exposures Project, an expressive photography program and traveling photo exhibititon shot by Kea Taylor and breast survivors. Our Work
The Exposures Project is an expressive photography project that teaches cancer patients and survivors to use the power of photography and their own voices to become effective advocates for cancer awareness and health change in their communities.
Our Purpose
Our goal is to raise $9000 for the Exposures Project. We create traveling exhibits for public spaces to increase awareness of challenges facing women affected by cancer in low-income communities. The Exposure Project's aim is not only to create real change, but document it. www.zuriworks.org
