Tell Our Story
Guest speaker Kevin Honeycutt emphasized the importance of teachers telling their own story so we can determine the message. One way of getting the word out about all the great things happening at Princeton Public Schools is using social media! Whether you tweet, post pics on Instagram, or like posts on Facebook, keep sharing those positive stories about our students and teachers. And don't forget to use one of our hashtags: #innovation477 or #isd477 or tag @isd477 in your post!
Google Classroom Updates
Multiple Teachers
Did you know that you can add a co-teacher in Google Classroom? In your class, click "About," then "Invite Teacher" to add another teacher.
Share to Classroom
Frustrated with getting all of your students to the same website during class? Use Google's new feature, "Share to Classroom." This extension makes it easy for teachers to send all of their students to the same website during class. Once the extension is installed, a teacher can simply open a website and “push” it to his or her students, triggering that website to open on the students’ devices as well. (It also works the other way—students can “push” websites to their teachers.) Find the extension here.

Tech Tip - QR Codes
Need to make a QR Code quickly? How about a short URL for people to type in? Google Chrome has an extension (add-on program) called Goo.gl URL Shortener which does both with one click! You will need to be using Google Chrome for your internet browser. Visit the Chrome Web Store to install this extension!

Tech Tip - EDPuzzle
- Do you show videos in your class from sites like YouTube, Vimeo or other sites?
- Do you want students to be more engaged with the content?
- Do you ever want to show just part of a video clip?
- Do you leave video clips for a substitute teacher but worry they might not pause and ask the right questions?
- Do you assign video clips as homework but worry kids aren't understanding the concepts when you aren't there to check in?
If any of these apply to you, EDPuzzle might be an answer! EDPuzzle allows teachers to crop video clips, add audio commentary, and ask quiz questions throughout the video to check for understanding.
