I hope all of you have enjoyed this time off - we are excited to welcome students back on Monday! Here are a few updates and reminders as we prepare for the new semester:

Monday morning: Students need to find their IDs and charge their Chromebooks or devices for Monday. Students can see their schedules in Skyward and will report directly to class Monday morning.

Spring Meet the Teacher/Open House: We are doing thing a little different this year. We will have a Spring semester Meet the Teacher/Open House on Monday, January 9th from 4:30-6:00.

Morning Arrivals: Now that the weather is getting colder, we'd like to remind our parents and students that the front doors do not open until 6:45 in the mornings. We have seen a few cold students waiting up on our arrival and hate for them to start the day this way.

Fines and Fees: Please check Skyward for fines and fees. We have hundreds of students that have fines and fees that have not been paid. When tickets go on sale for our Neon Nights dance in February, all fines and fees will have to be cleared before a student can purchase a ticket.

Mansfield Independent School District is committed to ensuring AP exams are affordable for students, so we will continue to pay the same portion of each exam fee. Families are responsible for paying for a portion of the College Board exam fee. This fee is $25 per test or $12 for families who participate in the federal free/reduced meal program. If a student has dropped an AP course for 2nd semester and an exam has already been ordered, the student will be responsible for paying the $40 unused exam fee charged by College Board.

Fees will be added to students' Skyward accounts in January and should be paid by April 3, 2023. More information about payments will come via email in January to all AP students/parents.

All new to dual credit students will need to complete the interest form in the Canvas course to start the process. Enroll in the Canvas class by clicking here.

Work through the Canvas steps:

1. Verify your GPA
2. Complete your TCC application
3. Get your TCC ID# and set up your TCC Account
4. Complete the Pre-Assessment Activity
5. Complete required testing

Priority Deadline for Fall 2023 is May 25, 2023. After May 25, registration will be subject to availability. Registration closes August 14, 2023.

All new dual credit students must complete New Student Orientation before classes start or they will be dropped.

Join us Thursday January 12, 2023 at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts. Students and parents need to create their own FSA ID. Please bring your 2021 tax information with you. This is needed to be able to submit your document online.

If submitting on your own, be sure you are completing the 23-24 FAFSA form.

Please remember seniors must complete the FAFSA or an opt-out form. It is a state graduation requirement. Opt-out forms should be submitted to your campus counselor.

Jostens has been on campus twice to collect Cap & Gown orders and pass out ordered items for seniors - extra packets are available at the front desk. If you missed the Jostens reps at lunch or didn't get the info in time, click the link below to order your grad package!

The Mansfield Independent School District Multi-Scholarship Program was originated in 1979 by Trinity Forge, Inc. and Mansfield State Bank. With the assistance of the high school counseling staff at Mansfield High School, two graduating seniors were awarded funds to pursue a college education. The basis of the program has remained the same. The main objective has been to award as many scholarships as possible from the local community groups to qualifying graduating senior students.
