April
Volunteer of the Month
Jessica Faber has been an amazing volunteer at Young Elementary School. Because of her dedication to teachers and students at Young, she is being named the April BMO Harris Bank District 204 Volunteer of the Month.
Jessica has three children in the district, a third grader at Young Elementary School, a seventh grader at Granger Middle School, and a freshman at Metea Valley High School.
Jessica enjoys volunteering as it is a great way for her to support the school community, teachers, and students within the district. The most rewarding aspect of volunteering is that she meets other parents, our district staff, and teachers. She feels that we have great teachers within the district and sees how hard they work to support and teach the students, including her three children.
Her nomination states, “Jessica continually creates a community of volunteers that want to be involved. In the last year, Young Elementary was at a critical point where all the current volunteers were graduating. She reached out, engaged younger families, welcomed new ones, and helped build the PTA board back up to the successful group it is today.”
