IMPORTANT UPDATES
Student Schedules
PHS schedules for the 2024-2025 school year were released Friday, 8/16, for review in Infinite Campus. Students can view their schedules by logging into Infinite Campus through their NC Edcloud and clicking on the blue "NCSIS" icon.
Please note:
- Schedules are still subject to change between now and the start of school on Tuesday, August 27, due to changes in staffing and enrollment. These changes are reflected in Infinite Campus in real-time OR students may pick up a paper copy of their schedule one arriving at school (in the gym for car-riders OR in the cafeteria lobby for bus riders).
- The schedule change request form is now closed, but all requests may not have been able to be addressed at this time due to the sheer volume of requests. Due to the complexities surrounding student schedules, changes to schedules will only be made if the following criteria has occurred:
*Graduation requirements not satisfied;
*Did not request course;
*Prerequisite not satisfied;
*Dropped PCC course and/or PCC concern; or
*Schedule is incomplete.
- Students must follow the schedule in place on Tuesday, August 27, only reporting to Student Services to meet with their counselor if they are missing a class and have nowhere to report.
- Families of new students that have not submitted required documentation will not be able to start school on August 27. Instead, please ensure that all required documentation is provided to our data manager, Melonie Carpenter, immediately so that your student can be enrolled. Once the counselor has this information, a schedule is able to be created for your student. Your student may begin attending school once you are contacted by your child's counselor (see image below)
Lunch Assignments
Students are assigned lunch based on their 4th period teacher. See the table at right to determine your assigned lunch. (click on the "full-screen" icon to enlarge!).
Schoolday Traffic Pattern and Parking
Please review the picture below so that everything goes smoothly as students arrive on August 27! There are separate entrances into the parking lot for buses, carline, and student drivers. There are also separate entrances into the building for car riders, bus riders, and late students (or visitors to the building). For the safety of all students, faculty, and visitors, thank you for your compliance with this information and for all requests and directions given by PHS staff to ensure the safety and security of everyone on campus.
PHS Event Traffic Pattern and Parking
With events beginning to take place at PHS (athletics, open house, freshman orientation, etc), please review the picture below for information on parking and entry locations for all. For the safety of all students, faculty, and visitors, thank you for your compliance with this information!
Open House Parent Presentation

PHS 24-25 Cell Phone Policy
Parents/Guardians: Please review the information with your student regarding the expectations surrounding cell phone use at PHS for the 2024-2025 school year:
The 2024-2025 PHS Cell Phone Policy is as follows:
Students may have “silenced” cell phones in their possession during the school day. Students who are in possession of cell phones must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct, Student Handbook, Acceptable Use Policy, and all Board Policies, particularly Internet Acceptable Use. Each user is responsible for his/her own cell phone and should use it responsibly and appropriately. Person High School takes no responsibility for stolen, lost, or damaged cell phones, including lost or corrupted data on those devices.
During instructional time, students may not use their cell phones and must have them out of sight at all times. This includes students who are in the hallways or in the restrooms during instructional time.
During non-instructional time (before and after school, lunch and between classes), students can access their cell phones. However, students may not use their cell phones to make phone calls during this time.
