Cottonwood School
Greetings Cottonwood Families
Dear Cottonwood Parents and Guardians,
Happy New Year! We hope this newsletter finds you well and that you enjoyed a restful and joyous holiday season with your families. As we embark on the start of 2025, we have exciting updates and important information to share with you about the happenings at Cottonwood School.
Principal's Message:
The new year brings a renewed sense of enthusiasm and energy to our school. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for all our students. As we move forward, we encourage you to stay involved in your child's education and to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Upcoming Events:
Parent-Teacher Conferences:
We will be hosting Parent-Teacher Conferences on the week of January 29th. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child's progress and set goals for the remainder of the school year. Please check your email for sign-up details.
Valentine Ball for Middle School:
Save the date for our Winter Ball on February 14th. This is a great time for all our Middle Schoolers who are Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. More details to follow soon.
Classroom Highlights:
Our dedicated teachers have been working hard to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for all students. Here are some highlights from the classrooms:
Literacy Focus:
Our literacy program continues to thrive, with students immersed in exciting books, literacy activities, and a deep dive into phonemic awareness. We encourage you to read with your child at home to reinforce the love of reading.
Reminders:
Winter Weather Preparedness:
As the winter season continues, please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Also, make sure that your scholars’ names are on their jackets. Check our website or social media for any weather-related announcements.
School Website and Communication:
Stay connected with us through Parent Square, our school website, and social media channels. Important updates, announcements, and school events are regularly posted there.
How You Can Get Involved:
We value your involvement and support. Here are a few ways you can get involved:
Join the PTO:
The Parent-Teacher Organization plays a crucial role in supporting our school community. Without them, our scholars wouldn’t have the rich learning experiences they help to fund. Consider joining and participating in PTA events and initiatives.
Volunteer Opportunities:
We welcome parent volunteers! If you are interested in contributing your time and skills, please reach out to our PTO.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Cottonwood community. We look forward to a fantastic year of learning, growth, and collaboration.
Best regards,
Albert Trudel
