What Do I Do if My Child is Not Returning to Wilmot Next Year?
If you have a current K-4th grade student who is not returning to Wilmot next year, please complete the form linked below as soon as possible. This information not only supports us with making class placements but knowing your child is moving allows us to prepare for your child's transition. Prior to your child's last day at Wilmot, we will prepare all records for transfer. As a reminder, our school office will not be open during the summer months. Please complete this form even if your child is transferring to another DPS109 school.

Please Send Containers & Wrapping to Take Home Finished Ceramics Projects
Hi, Fabulous Parents! ALL of our ceramic projects are ready to take home! Woohoo! And they look SOOOOOO amazing!!!! This year, we will give back the clay projects on the same day we pass back all artwork from the year. All will come home in the generously donated paper bags from Trader Joe’s the week of May 20th.
Here is where YOUR HELP is needed… By May 20th, PLEASE send in a hard container AND WRAPPING. Both parts are SO important in order to make sure your child’s VERY FRAGILE ceramics masterpiece gets home safely. Descriptions of containers, wrapping and sizes of clay projects are below.
The Container- The container needs to be very sturdy and should be something you already have at home. Ideas for the container are: a gladware container or any sort of sturdy box, such as a shoebox, small Amazon box, etc.
The Wrapping- The wrapping is VERY important so nothing breaks on the way home. Some ideas for the wrapping are: bubble wrap, tissue paper, kitchen towels, etc. Please send enough to fill the container.
Info on sizes for each grade’s project is below. Please double-check with your child about the approximate size, as each student's original clay masterpiece varies in size.
1st Grade- Pinch Pot Animals- Most of the precious pinch pot animals are about 4 in. x 3 in. x 2 in. at most. (A few might be a little longer.)
2nd Grade- Clay Monsters- The adorable clay monsters can be about 7 in. x 5 in. x 7 in. at the most. (Many have very fragile tails, horns, wings, long tongues, teeth, big eyeballs, etc.)
3rd Grade- Coil Pots- Most of the charming coil pots are about 3 in. x 3 in. x 5 in. at most.
4th Grade- Ceramic Fish- Most of these cutie-pies are smaller than 5 in. x 5 in. x 5 in..
5th Grade- Ceramic Cupcake Containers- The colorful bottom piece is similar to a pinch pot in size, and the delicious-looking top part is similar to a coil pot in size, so maybe 3 in. x 3 in. x 7 in.
Thanks so much! I am SO PROUD of every student and I am SO excited for you to see all of their magnificent artwork!!! Also, it’s been an absolute pleasure creating art with your children this year, and I’m already totally looking forward to creating even more art with them next school year!!! Have a wonderful summer!
