CollegeCounts Scholarship
Deadline: February 28, 2025
College can be the best time of your life. But paying for college isn’t easy. The CollegeCounts Scholarship can provide funding assistance to Alabama high school students who demonstrate a financial need and are planning to attend an Alabama college.
ACDEA Scholarship
Deadline: Friday, March 14, 2025
The Alabama Conservation District Employees Association is now accepting applications for six $1000 scholarships to be awarded to students who are residents of the State of Alabama and planning to enter college the summer or fall of the year 2025.
Image Builder Scholarship
Deadline: Friday, March 14, 2025
The Image Builders Scholarship was created by the NAIFA–Alabama (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of Alabama) Board of Directors to provide a higher education scholarship to an undergraduate student who demonstrates exceptional academic performance and/or significant financial need. Eligible students may not be receiving a full-tuition scholarship or waiver from another source.
Distinguished Young Women Of North Central Alabama Scholarship

Alpha Omega Chapter of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Scholarship
The Alpha Omega Chapter participates in many area projects, including awarding $1000 scholarships annually to newly enrolled college students.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Submit documentation indicating enrollment and/or acceptance in an accredited college
- or university.
- Submit two (2) sealed letters of recommendation, one must be from school (teacher,
- counselor, principal, advisor, or department chair).
- Submit signed documentation from the leader of the organization/program verifying
- community service/volunteer service.
- Submit documentation indicating participation in extracurricular activities.
- Submit a typed paragraph (200-250 words) regarding future educational goals and
- objectives and how this scholarship will help to attain those goals.
- Submit an official transcript with school seal verifying at least an unweighted GPA of
- 2.5 or higher.
- Submit documents verifying memberships, activities, and honors.
- Provide a 3x5 inch photo which may be used for Sorority and media publications.
- Submit the completed application packets by April 1, 2025 to bfb5019@yahoo.com.
Cirkled In - No Sweat Scholarship
- Who is Eligible? Students ages 13 and up
Amount: $2,500
Due Date: March 31, 2022
Minimum GPA required : NO
Essay Required: NO
Skilled Trades - 3M Transformational Scholarship
Who is Eligible? Any current senior who has a GPA of 2.75 or higher, and is enrolled, or intending to enroll in a technical education program that begins in the Fall of 2025.
Amount: $1000
Please get with Ms. Haynes to discuss the Skilled Trades - 3M Transformational Scholarship for passionate and diverse students with a focus in skilled trades. This $1,000 scholarship will allow schools to help students pursue their dreams in the valuable area of skilled trades while also bridging the gaps of inequality in our communities. Scholarship applications are due by Feb 15th.
Calhoun Community College Principal’s Choice Scholarship
For seniors planning on attending Calhoun in the Fall of 2025: Scholarship applications must be completed before March 1st. If you are interested in receiving the Principal's Choice Scholarship, you must have a 2.5 GPA, complete the scholarship application form, and notify Ms. Haynes of your interest through email by Feb. 15th. This $1500 scholarship is awarded to one RenV senior who qualifies
Leadership Opportunities
Alabama Governor's School
- Who's Eligible? Current 9th or 10th graders
- When is it?June 15-27, 2025
- Where is it? Samford University in Birmingham, AL
- What is it? The program includes classes, seminars, workshops, self-directed studies and projects in these subjects, plus organized fun, recreational activities and outings for the evenings and the weekend. Each accepted student will take one morning and one afternoon seminar which focuses on hands-on, experiential learning. The seminars are led by experts in the fields of law, literature, health care, business, science and the arts.
- Is there a Cost to attend? The program fee is $1,000. Financial aid is available. Please visit the Alabama Governor's School website to learn more about the program.
Any student who is interested in attending the Alabama Governor's School needs to let Ms. Haynes know by February 1st.
