Our Tiger 2nd Grade wrapped up their Economics unit with our annual Economics Fair! And, their Economics Fair was a HUGE success. Congratulations, 2nd Graders!

In their Economics unit, students learned all about economics (producers, consumers, spending, saving, wants, needs, goods, services, borrowing and lending.) For the Economics Fair, our students created products to sell to others, and they became the producer and consumer.

The Shriners were invited to come, too, and join in our fair, for all of the proceeds from the sales of 2nd Graders' products were donated directly to the Shriners for the Shriners' Hospitals for Children. The grand total of funds raised was $1,016.77.

Whew! It's a really busy and fun end of year around the good old West Cypress Hills campus. We just enjoyed a week of dress-up days and our student vs. staff volleyball game fundraiser in support of Hope House.

This week, we've invited our LTHS Seniors who are former Tigers to return and walk the halls with us. We are welcoming and celebrating them May 21. Then we have our end-of-year class parties for Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade. And, with mixed emotions, we celebrate our 5th Graders who are being promoted to Middle School 6th Grade. We're going to miss our 2023-2024 5th Grade. We wish them well and look forward to seeing how well they ROAR into Middle School.

We ask families to register students who are new to LTISD for the 2024-2025 school year, verify records in Skyward all students returning to LTISD for 2024-2025, and to make sure to take home all of your Tiger's belongings before you start your summer vacation. Be sure to pick up any medication that you left in care of our Nurse Kate by noon on May 24. Order your 2024-2025 WCHE school supply kits by May 31. And, remember that May 24 is an EARLY RELEASE DAY! Tigers will be dismissed from school at 11:40 am. No LTISD Extended Care is provided May 24; thus, be sure to update SMART Tag, if needed, with your last day of school dismissal instructions.

The halls of West Cypress Hills will miss you this summer! We look forward to seeing our 2024-2025 Tigers in August!

We are pleased to announce the opening of Returning Student Verification for the 2024-2025 school year. This process is required to be completed for all students who will be returning for the 2024-2025 school year. If your child will not be returning to Lake Travis ISD for the 2024-2025 school year, please contact our WCHE Registrar, Ms. Becky Wright, and submit the appropriate withdrawal form.

To complete the Returning Student Verification process, log into Skyward Family Access (link button below) and click on the “Returning Student Verification 2024-2025” tile.

Thanks to our fabulous PTO, supplies can be ordered online from schoolkidz at your convenience! The online prepackaged grade level supplies can be ordered through May 31, 2024. If you purchase your student school supplies online, the supplies will be delivered to the school before our "Meet the Teacher" event. Grade appropriate kits are available to order online now. Click here and use account #79519 to view our kits. Last day to order is May 31!

We also have lists of the school supplies for 2024-2025 so that, if you prefer, you can purchase the supplies on your own from any source convenient to you.

If you have a concern about the affordability of school supplies, please feel free to reach out to our School Counselor, Mr. Boren. We often have a limited supply of kits available, and he will be happy to discuss this with you.

If your child receives updated immunizations at his/her 11-year-old well check, please turn the record in to me. I will then be able to make sure that the immunization record is as up to date as possible before he/she is promoted to middle school.

Hi families! We are looking forward to another amazing year in Kindergarten at WCHE!

The purpose of the Kindergarten Entry Evaluation is to assess your child's social and academic skills, as well as, assist administration and teachers in placing your child in the most conducive classroom environment based on your child's needs. WCHE Kindergarten and other grade level teachers and staff will be conducting the evaluations.

Our Entry Evaluations are Friday, August 2, 2024. Sign up here. On Friday, August 2, please bring your child to the designated room number that is assigned to the time slot for which you have signed up your child. Please pick up your child from that same room at the designated end time.
