It's art show week! What a perfect time to congratulate HHS students Olivia Fleck and Emmery Fasbinder on their Regional Scholastic Art Award in the ceramics and glass category. Olivia won a Gold Key for "When Pigs Float." Emmery won a Gold Key for "Possum Teapot." Their work will be going on to be judged at the national level! #fireupgoeagles

A big thank you to the Grandville Clean Water Plant for hosting two sets of AP Environmental Science students from HHS. Students were able to tour the plant and learn about water treatment and sustainability. It was a great experience and helped students see more career paths related to environmental science. #fireupgoeagles

Such a heartwarming story! The Pen Pals program began in August of 2023 as an idea from Danielle Goodyke, an English teacher at BMS. The program involves 30 students who have been writing letters to residents at Sunset Manor & Village, Sheldon Meadows, and Laurels of Hudsonville. These students, who are in 7th and 8th grade, have been building relationships with their pen pals by exchanging letters every few weeks. Recently, the students finally got the chance to meet their pen pals in person! The students even brought little tie pillows as gifts for their pen pals. This program was founded on the idea of bringing people together, and it was truly a day filled with happiness for everyone involved. #fireupgoeagles
