We Need You!

1. We are looking for volunteers to bake delicious treats for a dessert spread on May 8th.
Please drop off donations by 9:30am May 8.
2. Donate office/classroom supplies for teachers to choose from by May 5.
3. Send words of encouragement and/or thanks to teachers.
Please complete the GOOGLE FORM if you are able to donate to our festivities
A reminder that 2024-25 ASB application packets can be found online or in the FLAB. Completed ASB Applications are due April 26th. Leadership 2 applications are also due on Friday.
Tomorrow is our annual PowerPuff game. We have 4 teams competing up at the football field starting at 1:30pm tomorrow after early release. There will be otter pops, fun tunes and good times. It is free entry, so we hope to see you there. Parents and students are encouraged to attend.
AP TESTING IS COMING
REPORT TIMES/LOCATIONS: More information about report times and locations will be provided next week. In general, 8:00 exams will have a 7:45 report time and 12:00 exams will have a report time starting as soon as students can come after eating some lunch, 11:45 would be preferred. Most of the large standard time tests will be in the AUX gym, there are some exceptions. Students with accommodations will be notified of their separate testing locations via ParentSquare some time next week.
EXAM DAY PREP: Parents and students can go to Collegeboard.org for information on the Calculator Policy based on the subject exams. Also, here is a link about what to bring to AP Testing. It is the student's responsibility to confirm what is or is not allowed on exam day. What To Bring On AP Exam Day
If you have additional questions, please start by asking your AP teacher and searching collegeboard.org where there is a tremendous amount of information for students and families.
AP PRECALC INFO
Hello from the AP Precalc Teacher Team!
If you have signed up for AP Precalc in the 24/25 School Year please read:
One major benefit of taking Precalculus is that we offer Dual Credit for Math-111z and Math-112z through Oregon Institute of Technology. This means that you can earn 8 college math credits for taking this course! For the majority of students, this is the first time you have been eligible for college credit. To be eligible for OIT dual credit, a short placement test is required to “place” you into Math-111z. This electronic test is approximately 1 hour long and is required. Topics will include Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry. The test is adaptive and some students may see some basic Trigonometry as well.
Because the topics included go through Algebra 2 (Advanced Algebra), we are testing you at the end of this school year while your math skills are fresh rather than waiting until Fall 2024. The test will be given during an Access Day during Life Class on May 17th. We will be proctoring the test electronically on school-issued computers. You have already been added to a Flex Period on May 17th to secure your spot in the test. Please plan on arriving at the AUX gym promptly after attendance is taken in your Life Class on May 17th.
LSU - LATINO STUDENT UNION
Join our Latino Student Union at Willamette Historical Society's annual Cinco de Mayo event held Sunday, May 5th from 2-6pm down on Willamette Falls Drive. There will be activities, food for purchase, vendors, and raffle prizes to celebrate the infamous Battle of Puebla! ¡Nos vemos allí!
TEDDY BEAR DRIVE (Stuffed Animals)
During April, the West Linn Ambassador program will be hosting a Teddy Bear Drive to collect stuffed animals. The stuffed animals will be displayed on the Ambassador's float at the Teddy Bear Parade on May 4th. All stuffed animals will then be donated to emergency services, such as fire, police, emergency rooms, children’s hospitals, and women’s shelters, to give to kids in crisis who are in need of a friend.
If you have any donations, please place them in the bin near the F-lab. There are also bins placed all over West Linn, such as the West Linn Public Library and the Adult Community Center. The last day to bring a donation is May 2nd. Donate a used or new stuffed animal and come see your donated stuffed animals and the West Linn Ambassadors at the Teddy Bear Parade!
