Camp Road Cougar News
Principal Update
Last week we held our first Cougar Spirit Week, which culminated with color wars and a school-wide Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament. We all had a blast and can't wait to do it again!
This week we started our Flex small groups. The purpose of Flex small groups is to unlock the potential of students through personalized Math and ELA small group sessions. Throughout the year, our ELA and Math teachers will use data to organize these supportive groups that are tailored to meet the students' individual learning style and needs. These groups will change every three to four weeks, based on standards based formative assessment data. Our goal is that all students gain the confidence and skills to make meaningful academic progress at all levels.
In addition, we would like to gather some feedback from you regarding digital homework assignments and Chromebook usage. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
Best regards,
Ms. Rowehl

Law enforcement will assist with this drill. We will follow up with an email and text to families once the drill is concluded. CRMS Care Closet
CMRS families, the school counseling department is grateful to receive some 50 stocked backpacks from the Frear family (Kaitlyn 7th grade), the youth group of James Island's Martin Luther Lutheran Church and church member Ms. Betty Coppola from the Cummins Group. The backpacks will reside in the Care Closet and are available to all students who need a backpack and school supplies.
St James Presbyterian Church and local business ProLift Garage Doors of Charleston are also generous sponsors of the CRMS Care Closet.
The Care Closet is a room in the school where students can discreetly receive personal care items, school supplies, socks and more. The hope of the Care Closet is to provide students with essential items so their needs are met and will further support an optimal learning environment.
Pet Helpers Fall Break Camp
Pet Helpers is hosting a Fall Break Camp from November 25th to 27th, tailored specifically for students in grades 5-9.
The camp will run each day from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, offering a well-rounded mix of fun and educational activities. Campers will engage in interactive games, creative crafts, and, most importantly, have the chance to spend time with the animals. There is limited availability, with only 20 spots open, and the cost is $150 per child. Click on the flyer to sign up.
