Patriot's Pointe

Greetings Patriot Families,
Please join us this Thursday for our School Council Meeting at 7:15am in the Media Center. Our 9-week grading period ends tomorrow, March 17th and progress reports will be issued through Infinite Campus next week on March 24, 2025.
As the weather begins to improve we will need your support with appropriate school attire. Parents please support us by reviewing the reminders below regarding our dress code appropriate school attire:
Appropriate School Attire:
Parents, we need your help! Many of our students are coming to school out of compliance with our FCBOE dress code. Please check your individual student in the morning for the following items:
The length of tennis skirts are not in compliance with the FCBOE dress code policy. Please do not allow your student to wear tennis skirts to school, even if the skirt comes with shorts attached.
No shirts tied in the back or tucked underneath undergarments that expose the mid-section
No blankets, pajama pants, bedroom shoes/slippers, or robes
Pants must not have any holes above the knee
Hoodies, hats, scarfs, bonnets can not be worn on students' heads when inside of the building
Students should not tie their shirts in a knot at the front, back, or side of the shirt.
Any shirt that exposes skin at the waist (including shirts that are tied in a knot at the back)
Skirts and shorts must have a hemline that meets the finger tips in length
Congratulations to Major Bohles and Chief Porter for an outstanding 2025 Military Ball. Our 8th Grade cadets and SCHS cadets came together in a joint ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of our unit this year. The Mayor of Fayetteville, Eddie Johnson, was our guest of honor and keynote speaker as he inspired our cadets and encouraged them to continue to strive for excellence.
It has been a busy week at The Creek! We have Senior Night on Tuesday to celebrate our historic Girls Soccer team for their stellar performance this season. Please join Coach Bo Heard and the entire Soccer team at 5:30pm at The Battlefield. Congratulations to our SCHS Track and Field athletes as they ran away with the County Championship at the Fayette/Coweta Classic. Please come out and support Track Team at the Patriot Invitational Track meet on Saturday, March 29th at the Battlefield! Our Varsity Baseball team is swinging for the fences under the direction of Coach Carter and staff as they have improved their record to 4-1 in the Region with a win over Whitewater last Friday. Come out this Friday to see our team face off against LaGrange for another Region win!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a Competitive Advantage!

All Fayette County High Schools named to 2025 AP Honor List
The 2025 list marks the first time since 2015 that all 5 county high schools earned the School of Distinction designation. Schools of Distinction have at least 20% of the total student population taking AP exams and at least 50% of all AP exams earning scores of 3 or higher.
All 5 schools are also listed as AP STEM Schools and AP STEM Achievement Schools, meaning they have a minimum of five students testing in at least four AP STEM courses and at least 50% of all AP STEM exams earn scores of 3 or higher.
School Climate Survey
Sandy Creek High School will take the new Georgia School Climate Survey this year. Each parent or guardian is invited to take the family version to answer questions about the current school or schools you have a child or children attending. If two or more children attend the same school, please only complete one survey for that school.
The survey measures what you think about how the school engages with families. Answers are not linked to names in any way. When typing answers, please do not give names or information that you don’t want to share with this school. Data will be shared with school leaders to help improve the school and will be published on the GaDOE website.
Please help by sharing your honest opinion on this 22-question survey. To take the survey, please click this link: 2025 Georgia Family Survey
If you have any questions about the survey, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Free College Essay Help with Notable Narratives!
About Notable Narratives:
NN is a 501 (c)(3) college essay service organization that provides completely free college essay editing services to first generation and/or low income (FGLI) high school seniors applying to college. We do this by pairing college applicants with FGLI college students, as having an advisor that comes from a similar background will allow students to feel more comfortable receiving help
Since our founding in August 2020:
Our 90 FGLI college advisors have assisted over 1,750 students from 102 unique countries and all 50 states.
1 in 4 students who filled out our annual survey were accepted into an Ivy League or Stanford University.
94% of our students were BIPOC, and 50% identified as both first-generation and low-income.
We encourage you to read more about our impact through our Impact Report, website, and Instagram. We are excited to help even more students this year!
Next Steps:
Attached is a Registration Form for you to share with your students. NN’s services are available to those who self-identify as low income and/or first generation; students do not need to identify as both to apply. I will also be sending this resource to the SCHS counselors.

Parent Square
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
Get started with Infinite Campus
The Infinite Campus app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
