Acting Superintendent Spotlight
Dear PYLUSD Community,
It was truly wonderful to see so many students, staff, and community members coming together to participate in the Shamrock’n Run to support our Educational Foundation. As I mentioned during the event, one of the things I love most about running is the sense of always moving forward. It was incredibly inspiring to witness such a supportive and enthusiastic group of people, all united in their commitment to helping our students advance in their educational journeys. This year, the REACH Foundation raised $50,000 through this event, which will go toward supporting academic, athletic, and arts programs throughout the school year.
With spring comes state testing! These assessments help track student progress and guide our district’s growth through the state dashboard. While just one part of the learning journey, they provide valuable insight into achievement and areas for improvement. Help us encourage your student to be at school everyday, perform their best, and get plenty of rest.
There is so much to celebrate in our community. At our upcoming board meeting, we will proudly recognize several student teams for their outstanding achievements.
Thank you for your continued support as we celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and success of our students and staff!
Sincerely,
Dr. Allan Mucerino
Acting Superintendent of Schools
