Safety Notice
Immediate Help Needed from All MRE Families!
For the safety of all our students, please observe these critical transportation rules:
- Never pass transportation vans when their lights are flashing - this indicates students are boarding or exiting
- When you see flashing lights on any school vehicle, stop and wait until the lights are off
- Do not drive in the designated bus lane at any time near or during dismissal. This includes LBMS dismissal as well (2:15)
These rules aren't just about following protocol - they protect our children's lives. Every moment of patience helps ensure all students can safely enter and exit their transportation vehicles.
Arrival and Dismissal Guidelines: Working Together for Safety
To ensure the safety of all students and maintain an efficient school day, we appreciate your continued cooperation with our arrival and dismissal procedures. Please review these important guidelines:
Morning Arrival
- Students should arrive between 8:25 - 8:35 AM (cell phone time)
- Students arriving after 8:35 AM are considered tardy and must check in at the office
- Prompt arrival helps your child participate in important morning activities and announcements without disruption
Early Dismissal
Changes to Dismissal Plans
- Submit a Change of Dismissal Form for any modifications to your child's regular dismissal routine
- Watch for email confirmation when your form is processed
- While copying teachers is optional, the form is the official method for communicating changes
- No need to contact MREattendance@nrsd.net separately
Thank you for helping us create a safe, consistent environment for all students. Your partnership is essential to our school community!

The online sign up feature will be available:

NO Conferences will be booked after this time.
Please use the following link to access Pick-A-Time:
The spring conferences differ from the fall conferences in two key ways. First, fall conferences focus on setting goals for the school year, while spring conferences provide an opportunity for parents to meet with teachers to talk about student progress. Second, the way spring conferences are scheduled, there are fewer total meeting slots available across both conference days compared to the fall conferences.
Therefore, if you have recently met with your child’s teacher—such as during an IEP meeting or within the past month—please know that the information shared during spring conferences would likely be similar to the information shared in your recent meeting. To ensure availability for families who have not yet connected with their child’s teacher, we encourage you to consider whether meeting at this time is necessary.
Also, please note that attending a conference is not required to receive information about your child(ren)’s progress. If you would prefer a brief update, teachers can provide one via email or phone call. Additionally, report cards will be sent home at the end of March as another way to stay informed about your child(ren)’s learning.

Forgotten Item Policy: Supporting Student Growth
When your child forgets an item at home, we have a simple process designed to minimize classroom disruptions while teaching valuable life skills:
Drop-Off Procedure
- Place forgotten items on the designated cart outside the MRE office
- Ensure all items are clearly labeled with your child's name
- Teachers will receive email notifications about dropped-off items
- Students can retrieve items during natural breaks in the day's schedule
Building Student Resilience
This process helps children develop flexibility and responsibility.
Examples of common forgotten items:
- Forgotten snow gear: Students can participate in alternative recess activities
- Forgotten water bottle: Water is readily available for all students
- Library books: Students can preview books as usual and return them at the end of library period, with the option to exchange books during their next visit
Thank you for partnering with us to support your child's education by maintaining focused classroom time while fostering independence and adaptability.
