Copeland PBIS

This month we will be focusing on punctuality. We are working with our students on being punctual by showing accountability for themselves to consistently be on time to school, class, and turning in assignments; while also being punctual transitioning in the classroom and throughout the building. Our students are learning when being punctual, they are showing teachers, classmates, and themselves that they respect others’ time. Please have conversations with your child about how they can be punctual at Copeland, at home, and in the community. We are so proud of our Colts for showing they CARE by:

We appreciate your support in our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports in our school.

We have created a matrix that explains our school wide behavior expectations. You will see these rules posted throughout our school. Your child learned these expectations the first week of school. Below is a copy of our school’s PBIS matrix.

Our incentive for the third grading period is going to be bingo. Your child can purchase this for 30 CARE cash if they choose. The deadline to purchase is February 28th. Your child can purchase this from their homeroom teacher.

Your child can also save up to purchase our end of year Beach Bash. This will cost 100 CARE cash. Students will be using financial literacy to make decisions about monthly purchases. They will be able to decide if they want to save for Beach Bash first, or make monthly purchases while saving the rest of their CARE cash to go towards the end of year event. Beach Bash is an activity that will happen on May 23rd, and will take place during your child’s PEAM time on this day. If your child does not save enough CARE cash OR chooses not to purchase Beach Bash, they will have an alternate activity to participate in during their PEAM time on this particular day.
