Imagine On Demand Tutoring & Add Guardian
- Students in Grades 6-12 who chose Imagine classes have access to on demand tutoring! Please see tutor subjects, days and hours posted in the image below. When you are in your Imagine courses you will see a button to "chat with a tutor" and can type or audio chat with the teacher. Teachers can use white boards to demonstrate concepts.
- Parents/Guardians: have your student log into Imagine and add you as a guardian. Go to the Student Learning Portal and on the left side menu toward the bottom you will see a tab for "Add Guardians". Once you add your information, you will get an email from "noreply@edgenuity.com" with your login information.
- Imagine Tip: when you log in and can see your courses do not click on "next activity" instead go on through course map. Course map allows you to see everything you need to do each day with estimates of times it will take you to accomplish each aspect of the lesson.
Pacing Guides
The Lincoln pacing guides is developed by VLAC staff. There is an error in the pacing guide in September where you see a gap day between September 5th and 6th. By September 10th students should finish lesson 4.
Student Success Team Meetings
This year we are implementing a system of student support which includes regular review of student data. Next week Student Success Team Meetings with teachers begin.
Each teacher will meet with the VLAC leadership team and review student progress on i Ready, in required core classes, and participation in orientation and live lessons.
In preparation for these meetings families of students in Grades K-8 will notice:
- Teachers will enter a “progress mark” in MISTAR. Progress marks are a “snapshot” of how the student is performing in classes. Progress marks are visible in MISTAR to students, parents, and district contacts. The progress mark does not go on the report card. Progress marks will not be updated because they are “snapshots”.
- As a result of data analyzed during Student Success Team Meetings, teachers will determine elective and intervention courses available. Based on data, students and families will choose:
- K-5: To add one-two electives: Art, Music, Physical Education, or Defined Project Based electives (up to two).
- 6-8 To add or remain in elective courses. Students in middle school taking World Language classes for high school classes will remain in that class.
- K-8: To add i Ready Reading and/or Math prescriptive lessons as support or acceleration of student learning.
As a reminder, this year we require students to enroll in six classes. Electives, Defined Projects, and I Ready lessons will not be graded, but feedback will be provided from the teacher to student based on student performance.
