1. Executive Director Welcome Letter
Dear Boston Prep Families,
As we prepare to welcome our students back to school, I want to take a moment to share my excitement and optimism for the year ahead. At Boston Prep, our mission is steadfast: prepare our students to succeed in four-year colleges and to embody, in thought and action, lifelong ethical growth. This mission is the guiding force behind everything we do, and it is one we are committed to achieving together with you, our invaluable partners.
This year, our theme is "One Team. One Mission." This theme reflects the unity and collaboration that define our Boston Prep community. Just as the athletes in the Olympics come together with a shared goal, so too do we as educators, students, and families come together with a shared purpose. Our strength lies in our collective commitment to seeing our students thrive—not only academically but also as ethical individuals who will go on to lead with integrity and compassion.
This year, we are placing a special emphasis on literacy and ethics as the cornerstones of our educational focus. We believe that literacy is the foundation of all learning, empowering our students to access knowledge, think critically, and express themselves with confidence. Equally, we believe that ethical growth is essential in shaping young people who will make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
We are inspired by contemporary leaders like Amanda Gorman, who at a young age has used the power of her words to ignite change and inspire hope. As she once said, "There is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it; if only we’re brave enough to be it." We want to instill this bravery in our students—the courage to seek out the light of knowledge and to be a beacon of ethical leadership in their own right.
As we embark on this new school year, I want to THANK YOU for your unwavering support and partnership. Together, as one team with one mission, we can ensure that our students are not only academically prepared but also equipped with the moral compass to navigate the world with purpose and integrity.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children’s education. We look forward to working together to make this a year of growth, achievement, and ethical development for all our students.
In collaboration,
Meekerley Sanon
Executive Director, Boston Prep
