HELLO, KIA ORA, KIA ORĀNA, MALO E LELEI, TALOFA, NAMASTE, KUMUSTA...
Welcome to Week 2. We have had a wonderful beginning to the term in all areas of school life. Our gorgeous children/tamariki are enjoying being together again for Monday morning Liturgy, morning teas and lunch times as well as Friday Kapa Haka time.
This term we hope to really set our learning going with less disruptions. We are setting goals, assessing, planning exciting programmes that will inform via mid year reporting to you the parents and our board for future directions.
WELCOME Sothea and Tino to our junior room. We are so excited that you have joined our school family. Abundant blessings to you and your whanau.
BLESSING OF NEW BLOCK: SUNDAY MAY 15th - following 9.30am Mass
We welcome you to join us this Sunday to have a walk through of our new junior block after a blessing shared by Fr Joe.
THIS WEEK:
Tuesday - Prayer observations in all rooms by our Director of Religious Studies(DRS), Mrs Pedley
Wednesday - Okatia (Room1,2,3) trip to the Cathedral - travelling by bus, leaving school at 9.15am and returning by 11.30am
Thursday - Tu Manawa (Room 4,5) trip to the Cathedral - travelling by bus, leaving school at 9.15am and returning by 11.30am
Friday - Kapa Haka, Whanau Afternoon
(Daily Cross Country training is happening in all rooms)
SCHOOL TIMES
We have returned to normal school times now that we are back in ORANGE level. A duty teacher will be out from 8.20am with Road Patrollers on duty from 8.30am. Morning tea times for all is 11.15 - 11.45am, lunch from 1.15 - 1.55pm with the end of the school day at 2.55pm.
ROAD PATROL
Our senior children are excited to be out again on Road Patrol. We ask that you use the school crossing and support our patrollers for the safety of all.
We look forward to a wonderful term ahead.

CATHOLIC CHARACTER - LITURGY for this week
We talk regularly to our children/tamariki about the importance of being Jesus' disciples now, that he has no other body other than ours. That we are Jesus heart, hands and voice as we all work to build the kingdom of God.

OUR LOCAL CURRICULUM - VISITING THE CATHEDRAL
Wednesday May 11th - Okatia 1,2,3 will be leaving by bus to travel to the Cathedral by 9.15am. We will be returning by 11.30
Thursday May 12th - Tu Manawa 4,5 - same as above
Thursday May 19th - Te Awhina 6/8 - walking on a walk/hikoi and visiting some other places along the way.
In addition, we are planning local trips around Palmerston North over Terms 3 and 4. We are looking forward to journeying back to Te Rangimarie Marae. We will keep you updated as we confirm more.
CROSS COUNTRY - MONRAD PARK 2 JUNE FROM 10.30am
Your child will need to come to school in their PE uniform, appropriate shoes for running, a named drink bottle and something warm to wear on top (school polar fleece, jersey, jacket).
If you can help on the day with walking children to and from school then please let the office know as we would appreciate that.
