Information for All Students
- AU Outreach Global is currently planning its GlobalConnect Camp, scheduled for June 23-27, 2025, on Auburn Universityβs campus. This program will expose incoming 8th-12th grade students to world perspectives, international education, culture, intercultural communication, and current global affairs. You can access the camp webpage here, and please find the camp flyer attached.
- ACS Parent Workshop: Please join us on Thursday, February 13th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Auburn City Schools will be hosting a system-wide workshop for parents entitled, βUnderstanding Artificial Intelligence to Support Your Childβs Education.β The event will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Auburn Junior High School. The presenter for this session is Ms. DeElla Wiley, Instructional Development Specialist at the Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning at Auburn University. This workshop is designed for parents of both elementary and secondary students.
- EMT Dual Enrollment: Southern Union State Community College will be in the Schola on Wednesday, February 19th at 3:45 p.m. to speak to all students interested in the High School Dual Enrollment Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) programs offered by SUSCC. Please contact Victoria Gulledge or Laurie Osborne for additional information.
- AHS Color Guard & Majorette Auditions: Clinics will be 4:00 - 5:30 Monday, February 24th to Thursday, February 27th. Final auditions will be after school on February 28th. Those interested in trying out can get a packet outside the band room or from Mrs. Vaters.
- NAHS: NAHS member T-Shirts are available to pick up from Ms. Henry in room 1224
- AHS Summer Driver's Education: See information in the attachment, below.
- Educators in Training Students: If you have taken Foundations in Education and are wanting to take Practices in Education next year, please fill out the REQUIRED application by March 31st. You can find the application using this link: https://forms.office.com/r/pVXjJGQTni. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Echols at jhechols@auburnschools.org.
- NTHS: All current NTHS members must meet with Mr. Bailey by 4 PM on February 26th. This is a mandatory meeting.

- AHS Volleyball: Auburn High School Volleyball tryouts are March 24th, 26th, and 27th from 6:00-8:00 PM. Please scan the QR code to sign up.
- AHS Yearbook: The purchase deadline to guarantee you receive a yearbook on delivery day is Friday, February 28th .

Information for Sophomores
- Attention 10th graders: February is open enrollment / program recruitment month for the International Baccalaureate Program at AHS. Current 10th graders who are interested in pursuing the IB Diploma Program should email or see Mr. Tindell in Office #1210 to schedule an individual IB consult: jetindell@auburnschools.org. All scheduled consults will take place during the month of February.
Information for Juniors and Seniors
- National Honor Society: Juniors and Seniors who have a 3.75 GPA or higher will receive invitations to apply for membership in National Honor Society via Outlook on Monday, February 10 at 8:00 AM. These students will receive a link to the NHS Application. This application must be completed by 11:59 PM on Monday, February 24 to be considered by the Faculty Council. Students who have questions about NHS should contact Ms. Michelle Hopf (mehopf@auburnschools.org).
WorkKeys Workforce Wednesdays are here!
WorkKeys testing dates for second semester are listed below. Students who have NOT earned a CRI (Career Readiness Indicator) may sit for the ACT WorkKeys assessment on a date listed below.
Accommodated testing will be made available on the dates below for students who qualify.

Important Information:
- IMPORTANT: If you normally have accommodated testing please indicate this when you sign up for testing.
- Free online practice software is available for students to utilize prior to the WorkKeys testing. Contact Mrs. Audrey Marshall to obtain a login for this software.
- To earn a Career Readiness Indicator (CRI), students must score a 4 or higher on ALL of the three test sections.
