Welcome to Summer Slam '24!
Romulus Caregivers,
We had a great week at summer learning! We are excited for Week 3. Now that we are in the homestretch it is vital that we reinforce some improvements and safety protocols for the remainder of the program. Please be sure to see updates on Attendance, Facility Usage, and Swim Enrichment Updates.
We could not have a successful program without all of your support. We will continue to improve and if you need anything please do not hesitate to contact me via cell phone - 517-206-1922.
We look forward to seeing everyone bright and early on Monday!

ATTENDANCE UPDATES - EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
- Attendance is vital for the success of our program. If your student has not attended Week 1 or Week 2 they will be removed from the summer learning program and Parent Connection. Student withdrawal due to lack of attendance begins tomorrow July 15, 2024.
- *Please do not drop off students after 9:30am. After 9:30am student's will be marked absent and not allowed to attend for the day.
- *Students will be removed from the program after 3 UNEXCUSED absences. It is not our goal to remove students but the rate of curriculum we are covering requires attendance and catching up after missing multiple days is too difficult.
- *Please communicate with your student's instructor, the office, or Dr. Hyliard regarding any attendance concerns. We are here to support you :)
FACILITY USAGE/BATHROOM ETIQUETTE
We are blessed with wonderful facilities at Romulus Community Schools. It is vital that we take care of our facilities and we ask that you please review cleaning up during summer learning with your students.
Breakfast/Lunches are served in the classrooms.
1. Trash should be thrown away in the garbage cans in the hallways not in the classroom.
Bathroom Etiquette in School
1. Only enter the bathroom when we need to use the bathroom.
2. Floors Stay Dry!
3. Use inside voices.
4. Close the bathroom stall doors gently.
5. Flush the toilet one time.
6. Only toilet paper is to be put inside the toilet.
7. Always wash hands with soap and water and use air dryer or paper towel to dry hands.
8. Paper towels are to be thrown in trash- cans in the bathrooms.
Thank you for your understanding and support to keep our facilities beautiful.
