Greetings Bulldogs ~

Have you attended one of our holiday concerts this season? They've been truly AMAZING!! if you haven't yet - we encourage you to join us this next Tuesday night the 17th as we host our EMHS band concert. I've been able to listen to some of the early morning music ensemble practices that have been taking place lately. Talk about SACRIFICE!!! It always amazes me that our students have the drive and the desire to get to school before the rooster crows to make sure they are putting in the work for an AMAZING show!

Speaking of AMAZING shows -- our state champion pom team heads to the state competitioon this weekend in Tulsa. This is truly a multi day event with solo and duo performances on Friday and large ensemble shows on Saturday. They would love for you to come and show your support and let me just tell you - they are REALLY good!! I get to school very early iin the morning and our Pom team is ALWAYS here before me getting ready for the big show!! Another group that is SACRIFICING to continue their LEGACY! Final exams run this next Wednesday and Thursday and we're in the final countdown! Hopefully, your student is prepared and will spend time over the next few days making sure they are ready for assessments. I've included the information for the past few weeks and it's still down below. I would certainly encourage you to take a look and make sure your student is ready.

We will not have another edition of The Bulldog Blast this calendar year but it will return in January. I want to say happy holidays to you and your family. It has truly been a GREAT semester and I look forward to what the new year will bring us! Please be safe in any travels you may have over the next few weeks. We'll be right here in January - ready to welcome your student back - here - at the most AMAZING high school in the State of Oklahoma - EMHS!!!!

It is important to remember that the final assessment for each course is worth 20% of the final grade. Therefore, final exam testing times are extremely important. We ask that you keep the days of December 18th & 19th on your calendar as must attend days and avoid appointments during that time where students would need to leave. NOTE - we do not call into classrooms for checkout during final exam sessions. For those Freshman parents - this can be a switch from what you may have been used to at the middle school level. It is also important to review the final exam schedule as not every course meets every day during this two day exam window. Students who may be on unique schedules or attend college courses concurrently should take note of when they should be on campus to test.

Please note - it should be the rare exception that a student misses a final exam day. In that event - we do have make-up time available. See information below.

If your student will not be present during one or both of the final exam days - they can start their exams during the make-up time which is January 6th @ 12:30 in the main building library.

I wanted to make sure you are all aware of the timeline for grades to be completed by teachers and then when they will go live to students and families.

• 1/10/25 - This is the date all grades should be in the gradebook. This includes final exams and work that still needed to be graded.
• 1/17/25 - This is the date that final grades are posted on Infinite Campus.

As you are aware, our MPO hosts a pizza day in each building AND a Kona Ice day in the FA. MPO needs volunteer help to keep this program moving. Should you have some time in your schedule - please consider clicking one of the links below.
