Challenge Day is a transformative, day-long experience where our Dragons come together to ignite empathy, connection, and unity within our school community. Just like the fire of a dragon, this day sparks courage and understanding as students and staff participate in powerful activities and heartfelt discussions. Together, we break down barriers, embrace our differences, and strengthen our bond as a Dragon family. Challenge Day embodies our Dragon spirit—bold, compassionate, and unstoppable—leaving a lasting impact and inspiring us to soar higher as a united and inclusive community.

From December 9-13, our NJHS students will continue a cherished Davies tradition—Elf Calls! During this special week, our NJHS elves will reach out to Hess and Shaner students with warm holiday greetings, checking in on them and sharing what Santa thinks about their accomplishments this year. It’s a heartwarming way to spread joy and connection, showcasing the kindness and community spirit that make our Dragons so special. We’re excited to keep this tradition alive and make the holiday season magical for our young friends!

Dear Dragon Families,

It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into December! As we reflect on the incredible moments we've shared this year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the fun and excitement happening here at Davies.

First, a huge thank you to everyone who made last week’s Football Frenzy such an unforgettable event! From the electric energy in the stands to the teamwork and school spirit on display, it was a day that truly embodied the Dragon pride we all share.

Looking ahead, we have even more to celebrate. Challenge Day is just around the corner, and it’s one of the most impactful events we host here at Davies. This powerful, day-long experience brings our students and staff together to foster empathy, connection, and understanding. It’s a day where Dragons build a stronger, more supportive school community. Challenge Day inspires us all to be the best versions of ourselves and reminds us of the power of kindness and connection.

As we gear up for the holiday season, there’s plenty more to enjoy. Our talented Band and Choir students are ready to spread some festive cheer with their upcoming concert, sure to leave us all in the holiday spirit. In addition, our NJHS students will carry on the wonderful tradition of Elf Calls, reaching out to Hess and Shaner students to share messages of encouragement and holiday magic.
