Wildcat Weekly News
#iamworkman
Happy Friday, Wildcats
We have had a wonderful week of learning and growing here at Workman. Thank you to everyone who came to volunteer in a classroom and watch the Halloween parade. It was so much fun seeing all the creative costumes. The smiles and laughter were contagious, and the memories made were priceless.
We hope you had a safe and exciting time with your family and friends if you celebrated Halloween.
Next week will bring a little colder weather. Please make sure that students are dressed appropriately.
Also, the lost and found is getting full again. If your student is missing a hoodie, jacket, coat, shirt, shoes, gloves, etc., please stop by during school hours to check out the lost and found racks hanging in the lobby.
Have a great weekend, and as always, please contact Mrs. Johnson or Mrs. Sturdy if you have any questions or concerns.
Wildcats of the Month - October!
Congratulations to our Wildcat students and staff of the Month. Thank you, Wildcats, for being safe, respectful, responsible and kind.

NWEA MAP Student Progress Reports: Update
The most recent NWEA MAP Growth Student Progress Report will be available in the MISTAR Parent Connection the week of October 28th. The following directions appear in the Useful Links section and describe how to locate your child's report and provide information and resources to help you understand their scores: How to access and understand your child's NWEA student reports.
A student’s NWEA MAP Growth score is one data point that teachers use to understand how a student is performing and how to best support them. School and district leaders use assessment scores in combination with other information to monitor performance and progress at the grade, school, and district level. It is important to understand that a single assessment can't give students, families, and teachers all of the information that they need to determine what a student knows and how to best support their learning. Information is also gathered through classroom observation, student work, one-on-one interaction between student and teacher, as well as other formal and informal assessments throughout the year. Please discuss any questions that you have about your child’s performance with their teacher. If you have trouble opening the report, please contact your child's teacher and they can print a copy for you.
