Aloha LBHS Families! I can't believe we are already finishing the fourth week of school?!? Time is certainly flying by! As we head into September, we have a few things coming up that you should know about...

On Friday, September 13, the high school will travel to the elementary campus to take our 50th Anniversary panoramic picture. Students must wear their school uniforms. Along with the picture, we will also have activities and lunch. Please be sure your child gets to school ON-TIME, as the bus will leave promptly at 8:30 am. The bus will return students to the high school at 12:30 pm. Students will be dismissed at their regularly scheduled time of 2:34 pm.

By now, you should have either sold some tickets, got your car washed, or both! We are in full swing of our fundraiser and what a great one it is... A car wash done by professionals, and available 7-days a week... I like it! Plus, the funds raised will go toward putting AC in our Chapel! Please remember to bring in the monies collected by or before September 30th. Tickets are good for 3 months from the time we started giving them out, so sell them early so your family, friends, and anyone else can have ample time to use them.

Students with a GPA of 3.3 or higher had the opportunity to apply for NHS (10th-12th grade) and NJHS (7th-9th grade). After applications are submitted, students are vetted for, not only good grades but good character and leadership as well. If your child has been selected, they will be notified on Monday, September 9th. Then on Tuesday, September 24th selected students will be inducted into the National or National Junior Honor Society. The Induction will take place at Lanakila Baptist Church in Waipahu.

Come celebrate 50 years of educating Hawaii's keiki on Saturday, September 21, from 5:30-10:00 pm, at the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu. Tickets include a buffet dinner and entertainment. We will also be having a silent auction that includes a stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and many other great items. Funds raised through the silent auction will go toward campus improvements. Tickets are $60 per person, $20 for children ages 3-10, and under 3-years of age are free. Get your tickets before they run out!

We will be having a silent auction at our 50th Anniversary Celebration.
