Mrs. Lake's Weekly Update
January 12, 2025
Dear All Saints Families,
Angeli Perrow is a retired teacher who resides in Hampden, Maine and has authored books for children of all ages. She will visit with students at Saint John's Campus on Monday, January 13 to talk specifically about her chapter books written for ages eight and older. Students will spend their library period meeting Angeli, hearing what is involved with being an author, listening to an excerpt of one of her books and asking questions.
Tonya Shevenell is an author and illustrator who lives in Portland, Maine. She has produced many books for young children including the well known, The Maine Birthday Book. Tonya will visit with students in K - 3 at Saint Mary's Campus on Wednesday, January 15. After reading a book to the students she will tell them about her life as an author and answer any questions they have.
This opportunity has been a year in the making and is a true passion project of Ms. Armstrong's. We hope our students enjoy the opportunity to learn about being authors.
