Attendance Challenge Update
Attending Every Day is PAWSitively Sweet
Last week the 6th grade won with an average daily attendance of 93.75%. Seventh grade was not far behind. Stay tuned 6th grade. A few lucky winners will be called to the main office to pick up a sweet surprise.
Remember, as part of the Attendance Challenge, LMS will continue to track the average daily attendance until the end of February. The results will be posted on the following Monday. Three names will be randomly pulled from the grade level with the highest average daily attendance for the week for a sweet surprise. The students eligible to receive the sweet surprise have to be in school every day the prior week and also be in the building to receive the treat.
Week 1 - Feb 1-2 (Posting data and surprises distributed on Monday 2/5)
Week 2 - Feb 5-9 (Posting data/surprises on Monday 2/12)
Week 3 - Feb 12-16 (Posting data/surprises on Tuesday 2/20)
Week 4 - Feb 19-23 (Posting data/surprises on Monday 2/26)
Week 5 - Feb 26-29 (Posting data/surprises on Friday 3/1)
What You Need to Know About Testing
8th Grade, You're Up!
Testing Dates:
MD Survey - Tentatively Scheduled for February 27, 2024
MISA (8th Grade Only) - March 13-14
MCAP (Whole School) ELA - April 15-18, 2024, Math - May 1-2, 2024

Reminders:
- Students need to arrive on time as testing will begin promptly at 7:30, no students will be allowed in the testing environment after that time.
- Should students need to miss one of the above test dates they will be placed in a make up testing group and need to be pulled out of class at a later date to complete the testing missed.
- All students should come prepared to test with a charged laptop. No other electronics will be allowed in the testing environment.
- Students will need to utilize homeroom time to update their laptops weekly (most teachers are giving this instruction already). Any additional apps/programs that students have placed on their laptops that are not for instructional purposes should be removed as these may interfere with testing.
