A Note from Ms. de Boom-Howard
Good Afternoon, Davis Families,
As I write my final Ducks Update, I want to take a moment to share my heartfelt gratitude with each of you for making the past two years so special and memorable.
To our wonderful parents—thank you for your unwavering support, your involvement, and the trust you’ve placed in us. Your partnership has been instrumental in your child’s success and the community we have at Davis.
To our dedicated staff—your passion, commitment, and tireless efforts have been extraordinary. You have inspired and guided our students, helping them learn, grow, and thrive in so many ways.
And to our incredible students—thank you for your curiosity, resilience, and joy for learning. Your enthusiasm, your stories, your smiles—they’ve all left a lasting impression on my heart.
Together, we’ve created a year filled with learning, growth, and memories that I will always cherish. I wish you and your families all the best as out Ducks continue to learn and grow at Davis and beyond.
Go Ducks!!

Important information on shifts in Arlington this week:
Wednesday, June 4: Arlington impacted to accommodate the Costa Mesa Middle School promotion from 1:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. With our early dismissal at 1:20 p.m., please plan on extra time for pick up. We would encourage you to use Gate 3, park your car down the street, and walk to get your Ducks and pack your patience.
Thursday, June 5: Arlington Road Closure to accommodate the Costa Mesa High School graduation ceremony at 3:30 p.m. The ceremony will conclude around 4:30 p.m. To facilitate the reunion of graduating seniors and family members, a brief road closure will be in effect along Arlington Drive from approximately 4:30-4:50 p.m. The Costa Mesa Police Department will be present to manage pedestrian traffic. This same procedure has been used in years past and has worked very smoothly. There should not be a significant delay, but please be mindful and patient on this day.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation so that we may provide support for our neighboring school and their families. Congratulations to all our Davis Duck families who have a student promoting from middle school or graduating from high school!

Please keep an eye on your email the week of June 13th for the RAPTOR volunteer renewal notice. If you plan to volunteer for classroom activities, field trips, or book clubs, and many more fun events, we encourage you to renew between June 13th and June 30th.
