Patriot's Pointe

Greetings Patriot Families,
We are exactly six weeks out from taking the End of Course Georgia Milestones in the areas of Algebra I, American Literature, Biology, and U.S. History as well as our AP/IB Exams. Our teachers will be outlining a plan for test preparation in the coming weeks and we will feature our EOC SLAM JAM which will be held on Saturday, April 19th from 8:30am-Noon. We had a fantastic turnout for our Saturday Success program yesterday! Thank you to everyone who partnered with us to make this opportunity a success for our students. The end of the 9-week grading period will be on Monday, March 17, 2025. Our students still have time to get back on track academically so please support your child at home and check your emails from teachers regarding upcoming assignments, projects, and assessments. Please note that students will not have school on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Congratulations to Mrs. Jenkins and our Chorus for earning straight Superior ratings last week during LGPE. Our students leveraged their competitive advantage during the National History Day competition and will move on to the State level next month!
It has been a busy week at The Creek! Our Varsity teams have been competing at a high level and producing success along the way! Congratulations to Coach Nickerson and the entire coaching staff and players for winning our 3rd consecutive State Championship in Boys Basketball! Celebratory details are coming soon! Our Girls Soccer team is still undefeated as they entered region play against Mary Person's on Friday, winning 6-1! Our Varsity Girls are now ranked #2 in the State of Georgia! Finally, our Varsity Baseball team beat Spalding High School, 18-12!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a Competitive Advantage!

All Fayette County High Schools named to 2025 AP Honor List
The 2025 list marks the first time since 2015 that all 5 county high schools earned the School of Distinction designation. Schools of Distinction have at least 20% of the total student population taking AP exams and at least 50% of all AP exams earning scores of 3 or higher.
All 5 schools are also listed as AP STEM Schools and AP STEM Achievement Schools, meaning they have a minimum of five students testing in at least four AP STEM courses and at least 50% of all AP STEM exams earn scores of 3 or higher.
2025 Georgia School Climate Survey for Families
Sandy Creek High School will take the new Georgia School Climate Survey this year. Each parent or guardian is invited to take the family version to answer questions about the current school or schools you have a child or children attending. If two or more children attend the same school, please only complete one survey for that school.
The survey measures what you think about how the school engages with families. Answers are not linked to names in any way. When typing answers, please do not give names or information that you don’t want to share with this school. Data will be shared with school leaders to help improve the school and will be published on the GaDOE website.
Please help by sharing your honest opinion on this 22-question survey. To take the survey, please click this link: 2025 Georgia Family Survey
If you have any questions about the survey, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Free College Essay Help with Notable Narratives!
About Notable Narratives:
NN is a 501 (c)(3) college essay service organization that provides completely free college essay editing services to first generation and/or low income (FGLI) high school seniors applying to college. We do this by pairing college applicants with FGLI college students, as having an advisor that comes from a similar background will allow students to feel more comfortable receiving help
Since our founding in August 2020:
Our 90 FGLI college advisors have assisted over 1,750 students from 102 unique countries and all 50 states.
1 in 4 students who filled out our annual survey were accepted into an Ivy League or Stanford University.
94% of our students were BIPOC, and 50% identified as both first-generation and low-income.
We encourage you to read more about our impact through our Impact Report, website, and Instagram. We are excited to help even more students this year!
Next Steps:
Attached is a Registration Form for you to share with your students. NN’s services are available to those who self-identify as low income and/or first generation; students do not need to identify as both to apply. I will also be sending this resource to the SCHS counselors.

Parent Square
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
