Celebrations and Upcoming Events
Pearland and Friendswood ISD College Fair- October 14th
PSAT- October 22nd and 23rd
All Turner 10th grade students will be taking the PSAT on October 22nd, and all Turner 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT on October 23rd. The PSAT is an important exam because it prepares students for the SAT. In the students’ junior year, their PSAT test score can qualify them for the National Merit Scholarship Program and scholarship opportunities. Please note that students taking the PSAT test will have to bring their own calculators for the exam. A list of acceptable calculators can be found here.
Parents, we are administering the PSAT free of charge to all our 10th and 11th grade students. If, however, you would prefer that your student not take the exam you may click on one of the following hyperlinks to opt out of the exam.

So, what does this mean for Travel Students?
Each of the 3 high schools are approaching the PSAT in slightly different ways, based on the size and logistical circumstances of each campus.
Dawson High School- will be offering the PSAT's in a similar format to Turner. Like Turner, DHS will be offering the PSAT to 10th grade students on the morning of October 22nd, and will be testing the 11th grade students on the morning of October 23rd. While the students will be taking the PSAT at THS and DHS on these days, the rest of the campus will be attending classes as usual.
- Students who Travel to DHS- Unless you are a PSAT tester, you will travel to DHS as you normally would on 10/22 and 10/23. If you are a 10th grade student, you would report to THS first thing on 10/22 for the PSAT, but would be able to travel to DHS in the afternoon for your course, or after school activities. If you are an 11th Grade student you would report to THS first thing on 10/23 for the PSAT, but you would be able to catch the afternoon shuttle for your course or afterschool activity.
Pearland High School - will be approaching the PSAT in a slightly different way. They will test all 10th and 11th Grade students on October 23rd. PHS will run a campus testing shutdown schedule on the morning of October 23rd. Regular classes (including travel courses) will not be in session.
- Students who Travel to PHS- October 22 will be a normal day at Pearland High School. All THS 10th grade students should report to THS that morning for the PSAT test, but all others will travel as they normally do. There will be no morning travel courses offered at PHS on the morning of October 23. All Turner students should report to Turner that morning. Once the PSAT is finished at PHS, they will resume their normal schedule. So, THS students who have an afternoon travel course or go to PHS for afterschool activities will be able to catch the afternoon shuttles.
Yearbook/Senior Pictures
Underclassmen-
- Yearbook Photo retakes will happen on October 24th for those students who missed the original photo sessions in September. If you need to have your picture taken, please see Mrs. JBJ in the Assistant Principal's office.
- Please note that we will not be accepting cash or checks on picture day. If you would like to Preorder your student's picture you may do so at atCADY.com/SchoolPictures
Seniors-
- Senior photos, including Senior Yearbook photos, are more elaborate and take a bit more time, so seniors will need to schedule an appointment. Cady Photography can accommodate Senior Photo shoots either at their studio, or on the Turner Campus during what they call Road Shows.
- We have already hosted one of our Road Shows but have two more scheduled with CADY Photography, 10/25/24, 12/6/24.
- Seniors, Click Here to schedule an appointment to have your Senior Photos done either at the CADY Studio our during one of our campus Road Shows.
