Around the School Spotlight
This week, 3rd Graders in Mrs. Henderson’s class got to experience supply & demand during their Class Market. Students made items to sell, priced them and engaged in a true market experience. Staff was able to swing through and purchase some really fun treasures and the kids were having a blast. It was evident they were very proud of their items!
Below, students from the AP Government and Civics class at SHS came into all 5th grade classes to teach our students a little about the election process. We always enjoy when older students can visit and we can learn from them!
2024-2025 Pre-K-Registration Still Open!

Reminder: Student Educational Equity Development (SEED) Survey - June 3-7
As a reminder, our school will provide the Student Educational Equity Development (SEED) Survey for students grades 3 and up during the week of June 3-7. Oregon law (House Bill 2656) requires each school district to make the SEED Survey available to students in grades 3-11. Parents or guardians may decline, either verbally or in writing, to have their student participate in the SEED Survey. For more details or parent opt-out form, please see last week's newsletter at this link: Principal's Update - May 24
Reminder: ParentSquare Communication and Alert Testing - June 4
As a reminder, our district will be conducting a test of our new ParentSquare communications platform on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Our District Office will send test-only versions of email, text message, and emergency alerts through ParentSquare to all families as part of this test.
