ST. MARY PHOENIX NEWS

This week I was blessed to participate in the Bishop's Convocation virtually with many other principals and staff of the Diocese of Cleveland. During the convocation we viewed a Ted Talk from Pope Francis with a message about the coming year. The message from Pope Francis is "The future has a name and it is HOPE". Let's all keep this in mind as we begin our school year.

We had a fantastic turn out for our "Orientation Day" this week. We were happy to see all of you and to meet our new families. We are excited for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 19th.

This morning I received the updated Governor's Order on Facial Coverings(Masks). Please read the order in the attached PDF on the bottom of the newsletter.

Just a few reminders: please send extra masks for your children to have at school. If we could keep a couple masks here in case we drop them or lose them. St. Mary Masks are available at the office.

Reminder that students need to bring water bottles to school this year. The bottle dispensers are available to use but due to new recommendations the drinking fountains will be closed.

We have updated the St. Mary Reopening Plan and have attached it to the bottom of this newsletter. The updates reflect the Governor's and Health Department current changes and recommendations.
