This Is How We Lakeview

It's hard to believe we've made it to November already, and Quarter 2 interims are right around the corner. Now would be a great time to check Infinite Campus for current grades and any missing assignments. While we still have six weeks left in the quarter, time will go very quickly with Thanksgiving Break in the middle.

Tomorrow, November 5th, the Lakeview Bands will hold their annual Veterans Appreciation Concert at 3:00 pm in the Gym. If you are available, please come out to support our veterans and our students. The Grove City Community Winds group will be performing with Lakeview's Symphonic Band.

As a reminder, this quarter, students are working toward earning an invitation to the Staff/Student Dodgeball Tournament on Friday, December 15th. The criteria students must meet include academics, attendance, and behavior. For academics, students must be passing all classes (no Fs) with no missing assessments; for attendance, students must not be on an Attendance Intervention Plan (or have a referral for one); for behavior, students must not have discipline greater than a lunch detention (no after-school detentions, QSTs, In-School Study, or Out-of-School Suspension).

Good luck to our winter sport athletes as those sports have started to ramp up to their seasons.

The Pickerington eSports Battle Cats' season is starting soon, and any students interested in joining the team have tryouts this coming week. Tryouts for the team will be November 6th-8th in the eSports Lab.

One family pointed out the lack of information about the band concert that was held this past Monday. We will work with our Fine Arts department to make sure there is concert information in upcoming newsletters!

This form will be linked in each Community Corner update, allowing families to offer feedback to the counseling and administrative team regarding social justice, mental health, academic support, friendships/relationships, etc. Counselors and administrators will review the feedback on a weekly basis and send out any updates to concerns/questions in the next Community Corner update.
