Finally! Cooler temperatures are here, and the 100-degree days are behind us for now. This is one of my favorite times of year, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Some great times to get together with family and friends. I do have a request, when planning your family events please work around the school calendar. Our school, like most across the nation, has seen a drop in attendance over the past few years. Studies show that missing school can have significant negative impacts on children’s learning and social growth. To best serve your children, we need them here every day, unless they are sick. It is extremely difficult to plan project-based learning and have students work collaboratively when a member of the class or team is missing. Thank you

The Arizona Department of Education has released school letter grades. I am excited to let you know that for the sixth year in a row Innovation Academy has earned the letter grade of A.

Now that we are in the 2nd Quarter of school you need to have your after-school transportation plans in place. Please continue to email InnovationOffice@amphi.com with OCCASIONAL changes in plans. It gets very confusing to our staff and students when after school plans are changed on a weekly basis. Long term, permanent changes need an email and a transportation survey entry.
