đPrincipal's Message
Greetings Washington Families,
Welcome to this week's Washington Weekly! Weâre diving into another exciting week at Washington GT. First, a quick reminder that there is no school today (November 11) in observance of Veterans Day.
Report cards went home on Friday, November 8. Our teachers are in the process of scheduling parent-teacher conferences to discuss your childâs progress, share accomplishments, and set goals for the months ahead. We encourage all families to take part in these conversations as a key part of our partnership in supporting student success. If you have questions or need assistance scheduling a conference, please reach out to your childâs homeroom teacher.
Weâre also looking forward to International Night and the Book Fair next weekâtwo events that highlight our schoolâs diversity and love for learning! Join us for International Night, where families can experience cultures from around the world with food, performances, and activities. And donât miss the Book Fair, where students and families can explore a wide range of books to inspire and nurture a love for reading. (Our Online Book Fair is OPEN NOW!)
Thank you for your continued involvement and support. Let's make it a great week at 1000 Fayetteville Street!
Magically,
Catie Burnette

đ«School Information
Attendance Matters
Regular attendance is key to academic success. If your child is absent, please remember to send a note or email to your child's teacher to ensure we have the proper documentation.
Dress for Success
As the weather changes, please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the dayâs conditions. We recommend labeling jackets and other belongings to prevent items from getting lost.
Parent-Teacher Conferences Coming Soon!
Report cards went home on Friday, November 8, and your childâs classroom teacher will be reaching out soon to offer opportunities for parent-teacher conferences. We encourage all parents to schedule a time to meet with their childâs teacher to discuss progress, celebrate achievements, and identify any areas for growth. This is a great opportunity to partner in your childâs success!
If you have any questions about parent-teacher conferences, please feel free to send a message to your childâs homeroom teacher through Talking Points.
Transportation Changes
For same day transportation changes, please contact the school office before 3:00pm to ensure your child is safely directed to their appropriate transportation option.
