Hello Quantum Parents,


Our Color Run is Friday Nov 1st and we are in our last week of the Fundraiser. We need your help to meet our goal! If we hit $15,000 we’ll earn a Recharge day and if we hit our goal of $18,000 we’ll get to dunk our staff in a dunk tank!


At the assembly on Friday, we silly stringed Mrs. Elliott, Ms. Miramontes, and Mr. Ward. We also had 11 staff members eat baby food! We appreciate your support so far and hope we can silly string more teachers as their classes raise more money!


Our Color Run will be a series of stations starting at 1:15: track, relay races, obstacle course, and some rest periods. The Color powder portion of the Color Run event is optional and is at the very end of the event. If students choose to participate in the Color portion, we recommend light colored clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. If students are staying for the after school program, we recommend a change of clothes. A towel is also recommended to place over the seat of your car at pick-up time.


Families are welcome to attend on the day of or volunteer before the event or on the day of. Contact Dessy Flores at deflores@eusd.org to volunteer.

Parking Lot and Drop off/Pick Up Safety

It takes all of us working together to ensure safe and efficient drop off and pick up! Please pull all the way up to the loop near the 4th grade gate and load students on the right side of the vehicle. Do not go around cars in the pick up line in the loop or in the street as this creates an unsafe situation for cars and pedestrians. Make sure not to block the driveway of Orange Glen on Falconer Rd so their traffic can continue to flow in the morning and in the afternoon. We recommend James street for entering and exiting Quantum as using this route will bypass a significant amount of the Orange Glen traffic. Thank you for your cooperation in following staff and City of Escondido crosswalk directions at drop off and dismissal.

Halloween

We love seeing students all dressed up in costumes on Thursday October 31st, if students choose to wear a costume. No blood/gore, weapons of any kind (including toy guns or swords), or full face masks. Send your student with a change of clothes for when they are done wearing their costume. No candy at school please. Thank you!

School Site Council Election

Each year at this time, Quantum Academy parents elect new School Site Council members to replace those whose terms have been completed. The School Site Council is an advisory group who provides a major channel for input to our school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement. The council is made up of 1 Principal, 3 Classroom Teachers, 1 School Personnel, and 5 parent members. We currently have four open parent seats and four parents who have been nominated to serve. Please vote by Wednesday.
