6th Grade Band Annoucements
What should my child be practicing at home?
- Steady sounds! The sound should be still and not have waves.
- Looking in a mirror to check their embouchure (face they make when they play their instrument)
- First Notes (every child has learned at least five notes on their instrument)
- About 20 minutes of practice, 5 days a week is a good goal for helping your child reinforce what they are learning at school.
2nd Six Weeks Objectives
Private Lessons
If you have not done so already, please sign up for private lessons. While this program is not required, we highly encourage every student to take advantage of it. Students will get a one on one weekly lesson with a professional on their instrument. We also have scholarship applications available if needed on our website to help with financing private lessons.
If you would like to apply for Private Lesson scholarship, we are accepting applications for lesson scholarships.
