Week 5
WSSD ELEMENTARY LIBRARY
Hello WSSD Families!
May is almost here, time to vote for your favorite Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Award book! Your vote this week is very important, kids from all over Pennsylvania are voting digitally for their favorite PYRCA titles. In order to qualify to vote, students must have either read or listened to at least 3 books from the list. Check your lists on either your K-3 PA map, or 3rd-6th bookmarks, then pick your favorite title and vote, after you’ve read the PYRCA titles from this week’s digital library lessons. Both Flying Deep: Climb Inside Deep-Sea Submersible ALVIN and Joan Proctor, Dragon Doctor: The Woman who Saved Reptiles, are featured on the K-3, 2020 PYRCA read-alouds below. The deadline for PYRCA voting is Friday May 1st.
Librarians’ TumbleBooks recommendations for our favorite author, and title will appear weekly too.
