Friday November 1st - NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS - Teacher Professional Development Day

We are so excited to be fully into Fall. The weather, the sweaters, and all of the fun SHS events make it a great time of year.

This Friday we are welcoming Placer Hills Fire, Placer County Sheriff's Office, K9 Demo (PCSO), and Representatives from the State Parks. Our annual 1st Responders' Day is when we celebrate and learn about all of the wonderful helpers in our community. Huge appreciation and thanks to our fabulous Wellness Liaison, Shae Wall-Denzler, for all her hard work organizing this awesome day. Make sure to ask your kiddos to share with you what they learned when they get home from school on Friday.

Tuesday (Longtin & LaRoche) and Thursday (Vrooman & Olson) our third graders will be going to the Bernhard House Museum in Auburn. This is a great glimpse back in the 1800's. On Wednesday our 1st graders are going to the pumpkin patch. Then the grand finale of October, the Fall Carnival. Saturday the 26th from 2:00-6:00 pm we will be celebrating Fall and Halloween in Woodsy Owl style. I truly hope you can join us for this wonderful FUNdraiser.

As Thanksgiving approaches we think of family and friends. What a perfect time to celebrate heart health and learn about all of the ways we can keep our hearts and the hearts of our loved ones strong. Due to a generous donation from Bear River Aggregates we are being gifted a CPR in Schools Training Kit and AED machine training kit for our school to allow for ongoing CPR training for the staff. On November 12th we will kick off a Heart Association Fundraiser that will culminate on November 22nd with an all school jump-rope event. Look for more details in the post as we get closer to the event.

Please remember to let your little know what is on the menu. Sometimes, they change their mind when they get to school and find out that they really love or don't really like what the daily offering is.
