Band Booster Meeting
All are invited to the Band Boosters Meeting on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the band room. New exciting things are being planned.
Teen Mental Health
Newberry Area Schools has continued to partner with MSU Extension to offer Teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) to ninth grade students beginning Wednesday, April 2, 2025. For this session, ninth graders were able to choose if they wished to enroll in the course. Teen Mental Health First Aid teaches high schoolers how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among their friends and peers and how to get assistance from a trusted adult.
K-6 Reading Month Final Activities
The elementary will be wrapping up their reading month celebration on Monday, March 31, 2025. If you did not get your completed reading month calendar turned in before we went on break, please send it in Monday morning. We will be doing the bike drawing during our pride-a-palooza assembly.

Student of the Week of March 17
This week’s student of the week is Aubree Patterson chosen by Mr. Thornton. Aubree is a 6th grade student who is working very hard this year and a pleasure to have in class. She is always willing to help. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and trying her best in order to achieve her goals at school. Aubree has been doing an amazing job in both Mrs. Staley’s and Mr. Thornton’s classes. When she’s not at school she enjoys spending time with her family and going on fun trips. Congratulations Aubree!

March Alpaca Day recipients
Emma Gannon- thank you for everything you do for our students. Between quiz bowl, honor society, physics, algebra 1 and 2, and everything in between.

Candy Labadie - congratulations on being the EUPISD Educator of the year! Your care for students is evident and the environment you create for students fosters comfort and productivity.
Brad Huffman - Brad is a hard working individual who is always willing to assist and help out with situations that no one else wants to deal with. He is prompt in his response time and is always pleasant regardless of what is asked of him. Thank you Brad for going above and beyond.
Katie Bliss - Katie is an invaluable member of our team. She is always more than willing to step up into any situation she is presented with. Her dedication to our students safety and well being as well as their academic growth is remarkable.
Brenna Pavey - Brenna came to us mid year as a brand new teacher and she has far surpassed expectations. We are so lucky to have her here and we appreciate the extra effort in learning a new position as well as providing excellent services to our students. Thank you Brenna for your effort!
Maggie Malicoat - Maggie is my right hand and I would never survive without her. Thank you for being willing to take on any challenge I give you!
Stacy Zolfaghari - Not only is Stacy creative and makes our halls look amazing with displaying student work, she is very flexible with subbing when needed. Your hard work is appreciated.
