Next week we will send home information in your child's backpack about e-learning days (link here). This plan is for a single e-learning day. Typically an e-learning day will be used for inclement weather. This is determined by our Superintendent. If we have an e-learning day, we will be in touch with families about expectations and support.

Nancy Young Elementary School is hosting a Digital Safety Presentation for parents on January 14. They have graciously invited nearby school communities. Please see this flier for more information. Steck PTA hosted this presentation last school year and it was very well received.

Come support Steck 4th and 5th grade Chorus as they perform at Waubonsie Valley High School on Tuesday, December 10th at 7:00pm. The concert will feature performances by Steck, Georgetown and McCarty Elementary Schools, Fischer Honors Chorus, Waubonsie Valley's Mosaic Ensemble, Pink Notes, and Una Voce. The concert will take place on the WV Auditorium Stage. It is a wonderful opportunity to see our young singers shine, and your support means the world to them! We hope to see you there!

Exciting news! The eagerly anticipated Spelling Bee event is just around the corner. We are thrilled to announce the Spelling Bee competition for 3rd to 5th graders.

Event Details:

· First Round: January 22nd, 2025 (written test)

· Final Round: February 4th, 2025 (verbal test, finalists only)

· Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

· Venue: Steck Elementary School

Registration Information:

To participate, kindly register your child by the final date of January 15, 2025. Don't miss out on the chance for your child to showcase their spelling prowess!
