PSSA NEWS!
Do you have an artificial Christmas tree the PSSA could borrow for this year's Winter Dance?
The PSSA is helping ASG with decorations for this year's inaugural Winter Dance on December 2. The dance will take place in the main hall in the Campus Center. We're hoping to transform the space into a winter wonderland.
Trees and decorations can be dropped off on Friday, and picked up after the event or the following Monday.
We will also appreciate the help of students who are in need of volunteer hours! Please email us at hsmc.pssa@gmail.com if you are able to lend a hand (or...a tree). Thank you!
Attention Seniors
It is time to order your cap and gown for graduation....yes, it isn't that far away!
The Josten's representatives visited the Senior Project class last week and distributed brochures and answered questions. Make sure you take advantage of early bird pricing and order as soon as possible.
If you have any questions, contact Josten's or let us know.
PARKING PERMITS REQUIRED NEXT SEMESTER!
As we get ready for the Spring 2023 semester, we want to let you know that the College is launching a virtual parking permit process! When you purchase your required permit to park on campus, it will now be virtual. This means there is no paper permit to keep track of or sticker to put on your vehicle.
All students taking in-person classes and parking on campus will be required to register their vehicle license plates when purchasing parking permits. VCCCD Police will use automated license plate readers to verify vehicles parked on campus have the required permits.
The cost is $30-$58 for the semester, depending on your vehicle type and California College Promise Grant (CCPG) eligibility. Single-use daily permits will also be available through PayMyCite.com. Daily permits are $2 and can be purchased here or by scanning the QR code found on parking signage throughout the campus parking lots.
Purchase a permit on the MyVCCCD portal under the Marketplace tab. For step-by-step instructions, visit Parking Information. Parking permit fees are used to fund critical safety measures on the campuses.
Any vehicle not properly parked or parked out of compliance with regulations is subject to citation.
For more information about parking on campus, visit VCCCD Parking Information.
We Are hiring substitute teachers!
Moorpark Unified School District is hiring substitute teachers, and we’re looking for people just like you who are interested in making a difference in the classroom. Working as a substitute teacher allows for a flexible work schedule (up to five days a week) and good pay, especially for our long-term subs. Substitute teachers can work at a variety of great campuses and grade levels across the district, and the job creates the potential opportunity for full-time employment.
Moorpark Unified has restructured its substitute teacher compensation package to include increased daily rates that range between $150 to $235 per day, depending on the length of assignment.
Applicants must have a teaching credential or a 30-day substitute teaching permit, but Moorpark Unified will help interested candidates with the application process to acquire the 30-day substitute teaching permit.
To apply, click here: https://bit.ly/3A0NZSV
Please feel free to share the attached flyer with anyone you know who may be interested in being a substitute teacher.
If you have any questions about the job or the application process, contact Claudia Mendoza, substitute coordinator, by phone at (805) 378-6300 ext. 1611 or via email at cmendoza@mrpk.org.
