Back to School, First Day Information
Hello West Fork High School Families!
The first day is right around the corner, and the West Fork High School staff is ready to welcome our students on Wednesday, August 7th. I wanted to share a few important things to make the first day back as smooth as possible:
School hours are 7:45 am - 3:15 pm. The bell to report to class rings at 7:40 am
Doors will open to students at 7:15 a.m.
- Students will wait in the cafeteria and will be dismissed to their 1st period class. Their official schedule will be distributed by their first period teacher. Previous versions were considered drafts.
Breakfast is provided daily for all students.
Lunch cost is $ 3.25 . Please create a School Cafe account and complete the meal application to add funds to your child’s account.
Parents are asked to drop their students off at the front door and remain in your vehicle
Students will be issued a chromebook during the school day on August 13th.
Students will receive their school ID during the first week of school, they must wear it at all times, every day, or purchase a temporary ID tag. Replacement or extra ID’s are $5.00.
Expect traffic in the drop off and pick up lines the first few days of school. It will be slow. Do not worry if your child is a little late on the first day due to traffic.
Car riders will be dropped off at the front of the school; the entrance is off of Sorters Rd.
Staff members will be ready to assist students throughout the school day to help students find their way around this beautiful campus.
To be sure we get all students served lunch in a timely manner, we ask that visitors delay eating with their child during the first week of school (August 7-10th).
Dismissal begins at 3:15 pm Pick-up will take a little longer the first week, but it gets better after the first week of school. All students must be picked up no later than 3:30 pm. Students who are picked up after 3:30 should take bus transportation.
Bus number and bus rider pick up/drop off [times can be found here . Expect bus delays the first few days. Sign up to get transportation updates on the Smart Parent Portal. Students should bring their district issued Bus tag with them from last school year. Information to obtain a replacement can be found here.
Information about lunch can be found here. (Add money to lunch account, see menu, apply for lunch program)
