SEAS Faith Formation
May 1, 2024
A Note from Driskill's Desk
Happy May and happy early Mother's Day! Sending warm wishes in advance to all the amazing mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures out there!
In our Catholic Church, the month of May is dedicated to our Blessed Mother. To celebrate our Blessed Mother, we will do a “May Crowning” on Wednesday, May 8th in our Faith Formation Youth Center. Please join us beginning at 6:00 as we sing, pray, do a few crafts and have some light snacks. We invite you to bring a flower for our blessed Mother as we crown her Queen of Heaven and Earth.
The month of May is also a sad time as we begin to end our faith formation school year. I'm so sad that I won't be able to see the kids during the week, but LOVE that I can see them each Sunday at 10:00am Mass.
Speaking of Mass, if your child would like to participate in the children’s liturgy as a reader, please use our sign up genius link by clicking HERE. If your child would like to practice the songs at home or sing at the microphone, click HERE for the May songs for Children’s Church.
In May and June our students will be celebrating the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation. I humbly ask that you keep them in your prayers.
We're trying something a little different this year as we will be doing online registration beginning May 11th. Please see the Youth Faith Formation page on our website for more details if this is your first time registering.
Once again, thank you for all your support of our SEAS Faith Formation program. For the most up to date information on our programs, please subscribe to flocknote, view the TVs in the building, check our website or check out the links for our social media at the bottom of the newsletter.
As always- continue to pray for us as we continue to pray for you!
God Bless,
Mrs. Driskill

Elementary Faith Formation
If you have a child making their First Communion, consider praying the below First Communion Novena together. This is one way for your child to know how important this Sacrament is and just how much you support their faith journey. Click the below link to find this prayer.
Thank you to all our volunteer Catechists for helping the children to grow in their faith and learn more about our Church. You are a blessing to our entire SEAS community.

Safety Procedures
The safety of our students, families, volunteers, and staff is a top priority for our Faith Formation Ministry. It is important to us that parents feel comfortable and confident while their children attend classes at SEAS. We take several steps to ensure we are providing a safe environment for all.
Each of our volunteers and all of the staff are required to take Safe Environment Trainings. Our Good Shepherd and Elementary students must be picked up from their classroom to guarantee that they leave with a trusted adult. You will also notice that we have a police officer on site during each class session.
To help with safety measures, we ask that parents read the below handbook provided by the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
