• Need to report an absence? You may log into Parent Connect to report, you may report through the Garfield website, or call the office. Contacting your student’s teacher does not clear the absence. Please note: we are unable to clear absences after 5 days, so please be prompt in reporting.
• If your student will need an Independent Study, please come to the office to sign the paperwork at least a week in advance. This gives your student's teacher time to prepare the work packet.
• Volunteering in the classroom? Be sure to complete the CUSD volunteer application online, and always come to the office with your ID to check in prior to going to the classroom.
• Picking up your student early? We will call them to the office when you arrive. There is no need to call the office, but it is a courtesy to email your student’s teacher in advance so your student will be ready to leave with any homework when you arrive.
• Did your student forget something at home? Please label the item with your student’s name and leave it on the table outside, then email your student's teacher to let them know. . Please note: no Door Dash , Uber Eats, pizza orders, etc. will be accepted.
• Need to relay a message to your student? Please email your student’s teacher. If the class is in music, PE, the library, etc., the office may not be able to reach your student before the end of the day.

This year, Winter Break will be Moday, December 23rd and continue through Monday, January 6th. School will resume our regular schedule on Tuesday, January 7th. We hope everyone in our CUB family has a restful and fun winter break and a wonderful holiday season!
