Thank you for attending our recent Gr. 2-3 program....we were so very proud of our children. They shined so very bright!! The show was amazing. We also enjoyed the high schoolers coming to treat us to their beautiful talent.
We are enjoying the inside recess but look forward to being outside in fresh air again soon. We enjoy our playground and building memories with our friends!!! Please be sure your child is ready and dressed for outside recess. There are many many NEW winter coats in the LOST and FOUND. Is your family missing anything???? Please come look!!!!
As you know, Mrs. Rebecca Brechbill will step into a new role as the principal of Northridge High School on January 1st. This is her last week with us as she moves to her new role. We all want to wish Mrs. Brechbill HUGE congratulations as she moves to lead the high school and wish her tremendous appreciation and love for all she has done for our elementary school. We all agree that she is deeply committed to relationships in her calm, nurturing, and passionate leadership. Please let your children know of this as they adore Mrs. Brechbill.
We welcome Mr. Nate Dennison, our curriculum director into the new role of Assistant Principal. Mr. Dennison is no stranger to our leadership team and is just switching roles and responsibilities. His love of children, literacy, math, social science, etc. etc. and high quality learning is apparent. Thank you for your leadership Mr. Dennison and for being at Northridge....where the best children in the world live and grow. We are ALLLLL so blessed to be working with the children of Northridge!!
If children or your family would like to leave Mrs. Brechbill a note or a card, picture, etc. we have a beautifully decorated box outside the school office to place such things. Our children are so loving and giving, they love to make us things! Let's do it!!!! Mrs. Brechbill will love it!
This week we will FINISH mid- year I-Ready and Acadience testing in the areas of Reading and Math. During December we are taking a good look at reading and math skill and strategy development through a number of formative assessments such as Acadience which assesses phonemic awareness, phonics, and comprehension. Results to these and the Gr. 3 Ohio State tests will be sent home in early January. Please watch for these.
The YEARBOOK ART CONTEST closes Wednesday this week !!! We distributed a hard copy of the entry form to all children......the theme for our yearbook is our yearly school theme of TOGETHER WE SHINE!! Top entries will be used to decorate throughout our yearbook and on the cover!! We have great artists! The entries are superb!!!
