Notes from the Family Ambassador
As spring approaches and we begin planning for spring break and the summer ahead, I wanted to take a moment to address Ohio State Testing in April. We want to emphasize the importance of having your student in school during this time. Ohio’s state assessments are a key tool for evaluating your student’s progress in subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, and Science. These tests help us identify areas where your student may need additional support and ensure they are on track for future success. Missing school during testing can disrupt their focus and performance, so we kindly ask that you avoid scheduling appointments or vacations during testing days. Your student’s attendance during this critical time will give them the best opportunity to succeed. We appreciate your continued support and cooperation!
Ohio State Testing Dates
April 1-2: English Language Arts
April 15-16: Math
April 29-30: Science (5th grade only)
Spring Break
Early Release (30 minutes) Thursday April 17th
Break Friday April 18th - April 25th
Return to school Monday April 28th
We love to learn!

School Counselor Update
Did you know that last week was Relationship Week? Did you know that our character trait this month is kindness? There are so many books and videos at our fingertips to help teach our kids kindness and compassion. One of my favorites of all time is the Steve Hartman Kindness 101 series. Simply google it and you will come across many short videos to share with your child. I am including one of my favorites.

New Library Branch Coming to Northwest Columbus
From Pastures To Pages, The Case Road Library Branch Is On The Way
Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) is adding a brand-new library to its lineup, bringing its total number of branches to 24. The new Case Road Branch will serve the city’s northwest side, marking a significant expansion into a previously underserved area.
The branch will be located on West Case Road, across from The Ohio State University’s airport, on a parcel of land informally known as the “sheep farm.” The land, purchased by the City of Columbus from OSU in 2019, will also be home to a planned city park. This collaboration with the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department promises to bring both literary and outdoor experiences to the community.
