News from Dr. Holcomb
Happy almost May! We are at that time of year where everyone is go-go-go. We have lots of interruptions to our schedule with still lots of instruction to do as well as end of year testing. We are on the tail end of our ISASP tests for grades 3rd-5th. This week we will be working on make-ups tests. Then, in a few weeks we will start our end of year FAST and iReady assessments along with our end of year district common assessments.
There are a number of grade level field trips coming up in May so please make sure you keep your eyes open for information coming home from your teachers on more specifics. I believe I have captured all the dates in the Upcoming Events at the bottom of this newsletter.
Teachers have been sending out information regarding summer school since our last set of conferences. Summer school is targeted towards students who need additional support in reading and/or math. We are needing to wrap up our staffing for summer so please reach out to your teacher if you need a form to sign up.
On Friday we sent home a form asking for volunteers to help at our upcoming Field Day. We hope you consider helping. It is a fun day for everyone, but definitely a busy one. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
Thank you for partnering with us,
Dr. Holcomb
