Principal's Message
At Oakwood Elementary School, we are Respectful 🤝, Responsible 👍, and Safe 👷
Have conversations with your child about some ways that they can be RESPONSIBLE 👍 this week:
- RESPONSIBLE 👍 at home 🏡:
- Making sure their Chromebook is charged before school daily
- Completing homework with good effort
- Being sure that all school materials are in their backpack
- RESPONSIBLE 👍 at school 🏫:
- Asking the teacher know that they need help
- Turning in all assignments on time
- Keeping their desk and/or binder organized
By talking to your child about being RESPONSIBLE 👍, you can help them to learn these positive behaviors in a way that will build life skills.
As always, our community can model for our students what it means to be RESPECTFUL 🤝, RESPONSIBLE 👍, and SAFE 👷. Together, we can partner to help to develop our students to be successful citizens in the world.
Attention Oakwood Families! We need your help!
Many students are being dropped off at the east gate 15-20 minutes before gates open at 7:30. Students are not allowed on campus until 7:30. Please help us keep our students safe by not sending them to school and/or dropping them off before this time. Staff are not available for supervision until 7:30. We thank you advance for your understanding.

Communication with the School
If you have needs or support related to what's going on in the classroom, the teacher is always your first point of contact! They should be communicating with you early and often throughout the year.
If you have needs or support related to the school, you are always encouraged to reach out to the office, Mr. Hoffman, or myself. We want to you to know that our door is open, and it is so important to us that we partner with you at home
News from the Lodi Unified School District
We are excited to announce that this year, families are able to verify their child's elementary school teacher and secondary school class schedule through our online data confirmation process. As of July 19, 2024, parents who have completed the online data confirmation will be able to access this information. We encourage all parents to complete the online data confirmation process by following the instructions in the flyer below.
This important step will allow you to update your child's emergency contact info while also helping to support our school site with additional funding!
