SCC Unveils First Bachelor Degree Program
Coming to SCC: Bachelor of Business Administration – Management
SCC will offer the Bachelor of Business Administration – Management, starting in the Fall 2025 semester. This is a significant milestone in SCC’s 54-year history, as we provide our first bachelor’s degree. Students will be able to invest in their future while paying one-third of the tuition cost of a traditional four-year state university. The College is offering free information sessions. Read more.

"SCC represents a ‘community’ in the truest sense of the word. It was a perfect place to begin my college experience," recalls Brett Nachman. Marci Mazzarotto's Journey from Film Student to Communication Faculty
"Some of the best times of my life were at SCC and I share those stories with my students today. My community college experience at SCC helped me get hired, as so many of our student population transfer from two-year schools." Marci Mazzarotto has developed film production and theory courses at her current institution. She has had quite the journey since leaving SCC in 2005 and subsequently Arizona in 2009. Read More

Navigating the Digital World: Back by Popular Demand!
Register today for this non-credit course designed for adults who wish to become more comfortable using technology. Each 2-hour workshop provides an introduction to computers using the Windows-based operating system, the Internet, file management, and other topics for beginners. SCC Offers Free Tax Preparation Services
Tax season is here, and SCC offers the community free, basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing. Eligible participants include those with annual income less than $67,000, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. An IRS-certified volunteer will be available to meet on the SCC campus from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays (January 27 to April 14) and 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays (January 25 to April 12) in the Business Building (BUS), Room 103. Pharmacy Technician Program Updated to Meet Industry Needs
The new Accelerated Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Completion (CCL) program will start Spring 2025 semester. The Pharmacy Technician CCL is a 9-credit program that prepares students for a role working in pharmacy practices in retail, hospital, and institutional settings. As the demand for skilled pharmacy technicians continues to grow, students can acquire the knowledge and practical skills necessary to excel, in as little as one semester, while enjoying impressive savings of both time and money. SCC Announces IT Helpdesk Microcredential Pathway
SCC is ready to help accelerate students into careers in tech support through the newly announced IT Helpdesk Level 1 Microcredential Pathway. This program will prepare students with the skills they need to succeed in assisting individuals and organizations to solve their inevitable tech challenges. The micro-credential pathway is comprehensive, covering four pillars that will give students a solid foundation for success. Read More
ARTICHOKE ATHLETICS

Our fall sports teams have wrapped up the season. The 2024 Scottsdale women's soccer team's magical run ended in mid-November with a 2-1 loss to St. Charles, Missouri at the NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championships in Huntsville, Alabama. SCC, the No. 8 seed in the tournament, finished the season with a 12-5-1 record. The men's soccer season came to a close with an 8-8-1 record. Women's volleyball wrapped up the season with a 19-6 overall record. The women's basketball team is now 7-5 overall this season. The men's basketball team is 5-7 overall. Softball and baseball spring ball gets underway in late January/early February.
